A Brian Russell bespoke suit is the epitome of British tailoring. Handmade, cut from scratch and tailored to perfection only for you.
The bespoke process starts with a consultation with our master cutter, who will personally guide you through every step. You will be able to choose from an extensive range of luxurious fabrics, all woven by prestigious mills in England, Scotland, Ireland and Italy. Our master tailor will help you choose the right cloth and for your figure, and the occasion for the suit.
A set of up to 25 measurements is then taken to create your individual pattern, which will then be cut and stored on the premises for a lifetime, being altered at various stages of the bespoke process to create the perfect paper pattern.
The pattern is used to cut the cloth, which is then trimmed, bundled and handed over to our specialist tailors. The tailor begins to expertly hand stitch the canvas onto the forepart of the jacket, molding it to give shape and body to the jacket. A specialist trouser tailor bastes the trousers, and the suit is ready for its first fitting.
During the first fitting, any necessary alterations are made to the suit, and by the second fitting the suit is practically perfect.
All garments are made in-house by expert craftsmen and craftswomen, thereby allowing the constant quest for innovation, and assuring skills and expertise continue to evolve.
