Brian Russell, who worked for Anderson & Sheppard for 20 years before striking out on his own, founded the company in 1987 in Mayfair’s Hanover Square. 30 years on, the company has grown to become an exclusively prestigious house known for its strong archetypal tailoring.
Our master tailor and cutter Fadia Aoun, is unique amongst Savile Row tailors. Her journey begins at the age 21, where she moved to London to study tailoring, and thereafter, soon found herself working and training on the prestigious Savile Row with various renowned names such as the legendary Edward Sexton. After honing her skills and mastering her craft for 13 years, an opportunity arose to take over Brian Russell & Co, where her destiny awaited her to become one of the first and few women at the head of a tailoring house.
11 years on, Fadia continues to run Brian Russell & Co with passion and an exuberant enjoyment of her workmanship. “I prefer the classic styles, sometimes I take inspiration from old books, things like high buttoning double-breasted jackets. I love to make something unusual.” That unobtrusive creative flare that Fadia injects into each suit she makes has built her a faithful and loyal client base of all ages.
